Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the recruitment function for Sumo Video Games Pvt. Ltd. Would be responsible for the development and execution of innovative talent acquisition strategies and methods to deliver the brightest talent into the business. Responsible for managing all internal and external relationships throughout the talent acquisition process to ensure consistency and best practice while maintaining focus on quality of hire.
  • Lead the delivery of Group wide HR recruitment within your areas of responsibility, in accordance with the time frames and budgets specified, including organizational and policy changes.
  • Maintain and continue to grow a high quality, efficient hiring plans.
  • Manage entire recruitment line, support and other team members with recruitment processes
  • Provide confidential advice, support and guidance to the Studio Management team via e-mail, telephone and face to face on the application of HR recruitment. Including, but not limited to; hiring and strategic contracts & amendments, ensuring you are up to date with current hiring laws and best practice.  Lead the proactive management in hiring strategies.
  • Take responsibility for leading and/or supporting a range of HR projects, to include reacting to legislative changes and retention activities.
  • Ensure the HR hiring function is legally compliant in all areas of responsibility. Ensure all HR Policies and processes such as advising on proposed changes to accommodate the recruitment process and approach, including the Staff Handbook, are regularly complied with.
  • Attending various recruitment events and conferences; networking at industry events, often with speaking and presentation opportunities
  • Working closely with the Marketing department to develop and communicate Sumo’s recruitment message.  Promote Sumo Video Game’s profile as an employer of choice via social media, advertising campaigns, Glassdoor, events and university activities.
  • Support HRM and L&D Manager with succession planning initiatives.
  • Provide support to the wider HR Management team & ensure they are kept up to date will all matters of relevance/importance for your areas of responsibility.
  • Identify areas of improvement, opportunity and innovation and discuss with wider HR Management team.  Facilitate and implement changes as necessary.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the wider HR team, knowledge sharing, learning and experiences.
  • Responsible for Sumo’s applicant tracking system in co-ordination with other studio: work with team for any new configuration and development of system functionality for improved internal and external processes and reporting.
  • Production and analysis of weekly, monthly and annual recruitment reports to support headcount forecasting and report against budget.
  • Building, monitoring and evaluating agency relationships; negotiation of terms.
  • Working with Hiring Managers to ensure all candidates have a positive experience at all stages of the recruitment process.
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-10 years HR recruitment experience at a Senior level from within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR Recruitment Process and its wider application.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Experience – Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook.
  • Games industry knowledge/experience is an added advantage.
  • Assumes overall accountability for the HR recruitment, strategy and compliance team. Is passionate about making a difference to the business.
  • Strong verbal & written skills.
  • Factual approach to decision-making.
